J.D. "Peanut" Clark, Jr., age 80, of Shreveport, Louisiana, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 2, 2022. J.D. was born in Shreveport, Lousiana on October 3, 1941 to J.D. Clark, Sr. and Annie Durr Clark.
"Peanut" was a Union Electrician for 60 years of his life. He was a Journeyman Wireman and proud member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union 194. He loved traveling and was a history buff who spent half his life searching sacred battlegrounds for Civil War relics with his trusted metal detector. "Peanut" was quick witted and could always tell the best stories! He loved his family dearly. He was a lifelong member of Ingleside Baptist Church. J.D. will be greatly missed by those who knew him best and loved him most.
"Peanut" was preceded in death by his parents J.D. and Annie Clark and grandparents, Elva and Susie Durr.
Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Travis Clark, Curtis Clark and John David Clark III; daughter, Cynthia Clark; wife, Gloria Clark; grandson, Easton Clark; grand daughters Shelby Lauseng, Kaitlyn Porter, Jordan LaBorde and Joie Clark; great grandchildren, Jackson LaBorde, Ezra LaBorde, Grayson Lauseng, Landry Porter and Noah Porter.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 from 1:00-2:00 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 2:00 PM. Officiating the service will be Bro. Danny Causey. Interment will take place in Centuries Memorial Park. Honoring the family as pallbearers will be Travis Clark, Curtis Clark, Johnny Clark, Tony LaFisca, Neal Dixon and Brent Moreland.
