Jeff proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for four years. He worked for Poulan Industries and later worked many years as a Security Guard at the AT&T plant and General Motors. He was a member of Pinecroft Baptist Church where he and his wife faithfully served. Jeff was an avid bowler on several leagues in his younger days. He enjoyed watching LSU and New Orleans Saints football games and loved spending time with his family. Jeff will be greatly missed by those who knew him best and loved him most.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James Walter Rhodes and Willie Willis Rhodes; brother, Larry Rhodes.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 37 years, Georgia Rhodes; daughter, Vicki Lynn Busher; son, Chris Rhodes; step-sons, Jerry Dupree and his wife Melva, Troy Dupree and his wife Rachel; step-daughter, Kathy Dupree Schultz. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A Visitation for Jeff will be held Monday, December 11, 2023 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 11:00 am with Rev. Cecil Marr and Rev. Steve Petty officiating. Interment will take place with military honors in Centuries Memorial Park. Honoring the family as pallbearers will be Jerry Dupree, Troy Dupree, Taylor Dupree, Cooper Dupree, Chris Rhodes, and Lemuel Tennison.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to PAM Specialty Hospital staff and special thanks to Brenda and Cheri for their excellent care during this difficult time.
