SHREVEPORT, LA – Services celebrating the life of James W. Clark, 95, will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, January 11, 2013 in the Centuries Memorial Funeral Home chapel in Shreveport with Ronney Joe Webb of First Baptist Church of Shreveport officiating. Visitation will held at Centuries from 3:00 p.m. until service time.
James was born on December 1, 1917 and passed away on January 9, 2013 at Progressive Care Nursing Home. He was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Shreveport where he enjoyed teaching Sunday school. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served his country during World War II.
James is preceded in death by his parents, Charles B. and Lila P. Clark; his wife, Dorothy May Clark and four brothers, Sherrill Clark, Floyd Clark, Russell Clark and Edwin Clark. He is survived by his son, Steve Clark and wife Laura; four sisters, Ruby Woodard, Doris Belcher, Melba Chism and Glenda Hall; two brothers, Lloyd Clark and Preston Clark and numerous nieces and nephews.
