Mr. James Ralph Bennett

Bossier City, LA- Funeral services celebrating the life of James Ralph Bennett, 67, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 in the chapel of Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. Officiating will be Dr. Randy Harper of Bellaire Baptist Church in Bossier City, LA. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 26, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home.

James was born on February 23, 1945 in Leesville, LA and passed away on November 20, 2012 in Shreveport, LA. Mr. Bennett was a member of Bellaire Baptist Church. He loved his family and enjoyed hunting and fishing. James worked for Libby Glass for 24 years until his retirement. Mr. Bennett was very active in the Boy Scouts.

Preceding Mr. Bennett in death were his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andy R.V. Bennett and one sister, Barbara Riffle.

Left to cherish beautiful memories of James is his wife of 45 years, Janice Bennett; daughters, Tamra Bennett Byrd and husband Kelly and Tanya Bennett Knighton and husband Richard Knighton, Jr.; grandchildren, Kelsey Brown, Jordan Brown, Haley Knighton and Katelen Byrd; uncles, Kenneth Bennette and wife Linda and Troy Raines and wife Yvonne; cousin, Wanda Martin and numerous other relatives and friends.

Honoring Mr. Bennett as pallbearers will be Richard Knighton, Jr., Kelly Byrd, Todd Eatman, Troy Eatman, Kevin Harrelson, Keith Martin and Derek LeJeune. Honorary pallbearers will be the Boy Scouts of Troop 176.
