Freida E. Bloomingdale

Freida was employed as a Cafeteria Worker for many years. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and always loved spending time with family. Freida naturally enjoyed cooking and baking and will be remembered for her wonderful dishes and cake decorating. She will be greatly missed by those who knew her best and loved her most.

Freida is survived by her daughter Vickie Roark and husband Luke; sister, Doris Roark, step sons, George Bloomingdale III and wife Kathleen, and Phillip Carroll; grandsons, Bryan Roark and wife Debbie, Jonathan Roark and wife Angela; granddaughter, Tamara Grace Bloomingdale; great grandchildren, Brooklynn Roark, Jacob Roark and Chloe Roark; nephews, Don. M Roark, Jr., and Chris Banzhof; and niece, Teresa Roberson. She is also survived by numerous extended family and too many friends to count.

Freida was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Carroll; husband, George Bloomingdale, Jr. (the Love of Her Life).; parents, Fredrick Wilhelm Banzhof and Ines Moody Banzhof; brother, Paul (Bo) Banzhof.

A visitation for Freida will be held Thursday, May 2, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108. A Celebration of Life Service will will be held Friday, May 3, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home.

Freida will be laid to rest in Centuries Memorial Park, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, LA 71108.
