Francis Keith Todaro, of Haughton, Louisiana passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2023 at the age of 67. Keith was born the second son to Joseph and Georgette Todaro in Shreveport, Louisiana on January 13, 1956 and was raised in Shreveport.
After attending St. Teresa of the Little Flower Elementary, Jesuit High School and LSUS, Keith began his career in the Office Products Industry, following in his father's substantial footsteps. He spent 41 years in various management positions, both locally and in Texas, eventually owning and operating M.L. Bath Company in Shreveport for more than 26 years.
Keith served the local community in several capacities; Board of Directors-Shreveport Chamber of Commerce; Board of Directors-Downtown Development Authority; Board of Trustees-Loyola College Prep; board of Directors-Betty & Leonard Phillips Deaf Action Center; Parish Finance Committee-Holy Trinity Catholic Church; Eucharistic Minister of Holy Communion and Lector at Holy Trinity Catholic Church for over 17 years. He was a member of the Downtown Rotary Club for 15 years and achieved the status of "Paul Harris Fellow".
Keith was honored by Jesuit High School/Loyola College Prep with entry into their Hall of Honor; by the Shreveport Chamber of Commerce as: "Very Important Volunteer" (1998) and as Chairman of the ChamberFest event (1998). He was also honored by Holy Trinity Catholic Church in 1997 with the Bishop's Diocesan Medal of Honor.
Most important in his life was the love of his patient wife, Brenda and the honor of being father to his daughters, Aubrey and Courtney. The love he felt for these 3 women was paramount in his life.
He is survived by his wife Brenda; daughters, Aubrey Phillips and Courtney Brant; grandsons, Gracen, Gabriel and Gannon Phillips; great-granddaughter, Tennessee; unborn great grandson, Stetson; brother, Joseph; sister, Michelle along with sons-in-law Michael Phillips and Aaron Brant.
He is pre-deceased by his parents and his great-granddaughter, Thea Phillips.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 315 Marshall Street, Shreveport, Louisiana 71101 on Friday, October 13, 2023 at 10:00 am., with the Holy Rosary of The Blessed Virgin Mary recited at Holy Trinity at 9:30 am that same morning. Inurnment will follow at Centuries Memorial Park, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108.
Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Joseph F. Todaro, Aaron Brant, Michael Phillips, Gracen Phillips, Gabriel Phillips, Gannon Phillips, Charlotta Nordyke, Peter M. Bratlie, Bill Smith, Cynthia Smith, Bill Henderson and Stephen Weeks.
