Eloise S Shamburger Williams

Celebration of life services for Mrs. Irma “Eloise” Shamburger Williams, 83 of Shreveport, LA will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 21, 2010 in Centuries Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Pastor Cecil Marr of Pinecroft Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at Centuries.

Eloise was born April 3, 1927 in Provencal, LA and passed away in Shreveport on April 18, 2010. She has been a long time resident of the Shreveport area. Eloise was a member of Pinecroft Baptist Church. She sang lead with The Sweet Adelines, but truly loved to sing alto. Eloise graduated from Gibsland High School. She married the love of her life Charles “Chuck” Williams on December 24, 1945. They celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary on December 24, 1995 just a few months before Chuck passed away. She was a stay at home mother and was there every moment her children needed her, even till the end of her life. She was a constant support to her family which she truly loved. Eloise was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege to know her.

Preceding her in death was her loving husband of 50 years, Charles “Chuck” Williams and her 18 month old daughter Virginia Carolyn Williams.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughters, Linda Davison and husband Grady and JoAnn Ritchie; sister, Barbara Ann Johnson; brother, Carl Shamburger; grandchildren, Anthony Davison, Tricia Ross and husband Robert, Dawn Ritchie, Jodi Watson and husband Seth and Carolyn Ritchie; great grandchildren, Jacob, Haley, Katelyn and Rachel.

Pallbearers will be Seth Watson, Joe Murray, Cal Stainbrook and Robert Ross. Honorary pallbearers will be Grady Davison and Bill Wilson.
