Brenda Dianne Keene was born in Shreveport, Louisiana to the late Bert W. Olds and Doris Brian Olds. She gave 30 dedicated years to the Caddo Parish School Board as a secretary. She was a light, spreading love to every room she entered. Brenda was kind hearted, loyal and always the peacemaker. She enjoyed traveling with her family, working in her flowerbeds and garden and socializing with friends and family. Most of all, she loved attending activities for her grandchildren. Brenda went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, May 7, 2023. She will be deeply missed by all those she loved.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 57 years, Tommy Keene; daughters, Stacy Overstreet and her husband, Loyd and Dana Yount and her husband, Chadd; grandchildren, Andrew Wallace, Connor Blackmon, Jake Wallace, Nicholaus Blackmon and wife, Mady, Hannah Overstreet, Sarah Yount, Katherine Yount, Sydney Overstreet; great grandchildren, Lilah Wallace and Penelope Blackmon; along with a brother, Daniel Olds and a sister, Marilyn Higgins.
Brenda was preceded in death by her daughter, Cheri Wallace and her parents, Bert and Doris Olds.
A visitation for Brenda will be held Wednesday, May 10, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at The Healing Place, 8957 Kingston Rd, Shreveport, LA 71118, followed by a celebration of life at 11:00 AM. She will be laid to rest in Centuries Memorial Park, 8801 Mansfield Rd., Shreveport, LA 71108.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Velvuvolu and the Willis Knighton Cancer Center staff that cared for her, our pastors and church family for their continued support, and all our friends and family who continually prayed for Brenda Dianne over the years.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Brenda's memory may be made to American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
