Betty Davis, 90, died peacefully at her home on October 25, 2024, surrounded by her daughters. A memorial service will be held on November 1, 2024, at Peace Fellowship in Diana, Texas at 10:00 a.m. A graveside service will be held at Centuries Memorial Park on Mansfield Road in Shreveport, Louisiana at 2:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Andrew Goodman, Tyler Pitson, Reece Pitson and Daniel Coleman Cobbs.
She was born to parents William Coleman Cobbs and Pearly Naomi Early Cobbs, on October 22, 1934, in Pleasant Hill, Louisiana. She was married to Jimmy Davis and had three daughters.
She was loved by everyone. Her kind and generous spirit was known to all who knew her. Betty had a deep love for God and family. Written words will never be able to convey what a great person she was. She was blessed by God in all she did, even to the end.
Betty is survived by her brother, Ronald Patrick Cobbs and wife Linda, her daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Dale Goodman, Beverly and Jimmy Pitson, and Angela and Greg Moulton as well as her grandchildren and great-children who fondly called her Nee-Nee, Lindsey Goodman, Andrew Goodman and wife Sheila, Tyler Pitson, Reece Pitson, Jordyn Moulton and Davis Moulton, Gabrielle Connors, Addisyn Moulton, Emiliano Alvarado, and Ethan Goodman along with many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy L. Davis, her parents, William and Naomi Cobbs, brothers, William Marcell Cobbs and wife Delores, Thomas R. Cobbs and wife Lillie, and sister, Rachel Cobbs Owens and husband R.L., and her granddaughter, Bailee Allyse Moulton.
