Annetta "Ann" Salts was born June 22, 1935 in Spiro, Oklahoma to the late Jess Shaw and Lila Hanna Shaw. She worked for over 50 years serving as a Real Estate Agent working for Strain Realty before she retired. Ann married the love of her life, Rev. Robert Samuel Salts Jr. on October 1, 1953. Together they shared a beautiful life of laughter, joyful memories and unconditional love.
Ann was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She was dedicated christian and a lifelong member of Bethel Baptist Church. She served at the church, playing piano and singing. Ann loved attending Sunday School at Pinecroft Baptist, where she liked to fellowship with her close friends. Her love for crafts were known to all, mainly working with ceramics. She owned a ceramics shop in Shreveport for many years. She had a heart of gold, lending a helping hand and a comforting word to anyone who needed it. Ann was everyone's grandmother, she truly cared for others.
Ann went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at her home, surrounded by her family at the age of 89.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 70 years, Rev. Robert "Bob" Salts, Jr.; three children, Bobby Salts, Donnie Salts and Linda Salts, and Patty Siskron and her husband, David; grandchildren, Haley, Jacob, Amanda, Jess, Jackie, Jennifer, Jade, Christopher, Lyndsey and Zachary; 31 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren and numerous extended family members.
A Celebration of Life Graveside for Ann will be held Friday, July 5, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Centuries Memorial Park, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, LA 71108. Officiating the service will be Jason Strain.
