Mr. Andrew Shawn Bates

Services celebrating the life of Andrew Shawn Bates, 29, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 28, 2011 in the chapel of Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, Shreveport, LA. Officiating the services will be Tom Moore. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home.

Andrew was born on August 16, 1981 in Shreveport, LA. He was a member of Airline Church of Christ. Mr. Bates served in the U.S. Army. He was pursuing a degree in Nursing. Andrew was a decorated Boy Scout and received the Order of The Arrow. He enjoyed camping and the outdoors.

Mr. Bates was preceded in death by his mother, Cynthia Wilkes and grandfathers; William C. Bates, Sr. and Bobby Wilkes.

Left to cherish beautiful memories of Andrew are his father, William C. Bates, Jr. and stepmother, Bethany of Shreveport, LA and grandmothers; Mary Bates of Shreveport, LA and Betty Jo Wilkes of San Antonio, TX
