Dorothy Lucilli Schreiber Vancura

Dorothy Vancura, 85, of Shiner, entered into eternal rest on November 16, 2010. She was born on April 9, 1925 to the late Herman and Elsie Fehler Schreiber in Shiner, Texas. Dorothy was united in marriage to the late Johnnie Vancura on May 25, 1948.

Mrs. Vancura was a member of United Dr Martin Luther Lutheran Church of Shiner and the VFW auxiliary.

She is survived by grand daughter, Brittany Jedrziewski and husband James; great-grandson Jenson Jedrziewski; neice, Carol Hoerig of Shiner and nephew, Elson Schreiber, Jr of Shiner.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Johnnie Vancura; son, Glen Vancura; sister, Clara Zappe and brother, Elson Schreiber.

Visitation will be on Friday, November 19, 2010 from 7 am to 9 pm with a prayer service at 7 pm at Buffington Funeral Home Chapel in Shiner. Funeral service will be on Saturday November 20, 2010 at 11 am at United Dr. Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Shiner. Interment will follow at Shiner Cemetery.
