She was born on August 16, 1926 in Page County and was the daughter of late Charles and Eula M. Snyder Judd.
Catherine was retired from JMU and was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Shenandoah.
On October 25, 1944 she married David Edward Deavers, who preceded her in death on May 19, 1996.
She is survived by her children, David “Eddie” Deavers, Betty “Gin” Breeden, Rena Barr, Barbara “Bobbie” Smith, Charles “Chuck” Deavers, Gary Deavers, and Wanda “Penny” Deavers; 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
The family will receive friends 6-8:00 PM, Monday, May 2, 2011, at Lindsey-Kyger Funeral Home in Shenandoah.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, May 3, at the Chapel of the funeral home, with Rev. Stephen Creech officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
