Tom was born July 19, 1927 in Chicago, IL to Thomas Woods and Martha (Winston) Temme, Sr. He attended Bryant Elementary School and Crane Tech High School in Chicago. During WW II Tom honorably served his country in the US Navy.
On October 26, 1946 Tom and Shirley Ida Wilke were united in marriage in Chicago. After a few years they moved to Poynette, WI and eventually relocated to Sheboygan. Tom worked as an insurance agent in the area before beginning employment at Hayssen Mfg. Co.
Tom enjoyed singing and was a member of the Sheboygan Symphony and Lakeshore Chorale.
In addition to his wife, Shirley, he is survived by his son, Thomas Woods Temme, III of Sheboygan; his daughter, Carol M. (Robin) Schier of British Columbia, Canada; four grandchildren, Samantha Temme, Thomas Temme IV, Malcolm Schier, and Emily Schier; and other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceeded in death by a daughter, Kathleen.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Sunrise Memorial Gardens Chapel. Rev. Steven J. Pedersen will officiate. A time of visitation and support will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name.

Tom will always be remembered for his patriotism, his natural musical ability, and his sharp intellect. He will be dearly missed.
