Kathy was born on January 7, 1930 in France to Stanislaw and Ludowica (Pierrog) Weislak.
She was married to John J. Maczuzak in 1949 in France and they immigrated to Chicago in 1957. He preceded her in death on September 14, 1996.
Kathy married Emil Kalnins in 1999 in Fond du Lac, WI.
Throughout her life, Kathy held various positions in a variety of venues, including deli-clerk, hospital worker, housekeeper, and spring factory worker. She also had a variety of hobbies, including cooking, sewing, crocheting, and visiting casinos. She loved to garden and had an incredible green-thumb. Kathy was a true people person who made friends wherever life led her.
In addition to her husband, Emil, she is survived by her two sons, Pete (Lois) Maczuzak of Keshena, WI and John (Elizabeth) Maczuzak of Sheboygan; grandchildren, Samantha Gerger, Rachel, Holly, Eli, Jacob, Savannah, and Angelina Maczuzak; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her three brothers, Wladek, Edward, and Jean.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. at Ballhorn Chapels. A time of visitation and support will be held from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service.
A memorial fund has been established in her name.
Kathy will be remembered for her warm smile and kindness to all.
