David Jerome Henschel

David was born October 17, 1953 in Sheboygan to Jerome F. and Shirley (Anderson) Henschel.

He was a graduate of Howards Grove High School, Class of 1971.

David was employed at Kohler Company as a Quality Inspector since June 1972 and was a member of the Kohler Quarter Century Club.

David was a member of UAW 833, Eastern WI Lutheran Dartball League, Oshkosh Tournament Team, Swovy’s Tournament Team, and several bowling leagues.

He was a passionate Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packer fan and was an avid silver collector.

David was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Howards Grove.

He is survived by six children; Kristine (Keith) Hoeft, Robert Henschel, David Henschel Jr., Miranda (Zachary) Williams, Rochelle Henschel, Derek Henschel, and their mother, Dorothy Henschel; seven grandchildren, Kiley, Kara, Tegan, Jordan, Alex, Mathew, Jadyn “Gabriel Langois”; his father, Jerome Henschel; two sisters, Lynn (Victor) Walsh and Jill (Mark) Maratik; one brother, Greg Henschel; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

David was preceded in death by his grandparents, his mother, and Uncle Kenneth.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Howards Grove. Rev. Darrel L. Bergelin will officiate. A time of visitation and support will be held from 10:00 am until the time of service. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established in his name.
