Wendell W. Smith

Wendell was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed gardening and had a great hand for it. His family called him the “tree whisperer”. He and Kathy worked together in their ministry to the children in the Royal Ranger Program at Living Word Church and many other ministries. Wendell’s main focus in life was sharing Jesus and His Love for everyone.

Wendell retired from Tinker Air Force Base after 31 years. After retirement, he went to work for CACI as a quality control specialist.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 26 years, Kathleen Smith; ex-wife and mother to his children, Janine Parsons; children: Deborah Lanore Smith, Kendall Harrell (Rebecca), Timmy Smith, Marshall Harrell (Jenn), and Rod D. Cummings (Ralene Wright); grandchildren: Zachariah Smith, Piper Harrell, and Kenleigh Harrell; great grandson, Light Lordren Buchanan; relatives: Nathan and Ashley Harrell; and numerous dear friends, including the Life Church Bible Study Group, that Wendell considered family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one daughter, Nikki Janine Smith.
