Rhonda Faye Willis

Rhonda graduated from Duncan High School then moved to Shawnee and made her home there. She was a member of the Hart Street Full Gospel Church in Shawnee. She met and married the love of her life, George Willis, Jr., on March 29, 1999. She spent most of her life being a cook for nursing homes. She enjoyed the work greatly. She also enjoyed spending time with her pets, especially the Dachshunds. She led a spiritual life and was always helping other people. A great amount of her time was spent loving on the children and grandchildren. Not a day went by without a “Hello and I love you!”

She will be remembered as a loving mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a simple person who did not ask for much. Many times she was maybe a little too proud to ask for help. That was her nature. Rhonda was a very giving person, denying her own needs to help others. She can say her proudest moment was getting to see fulfillment in all the lives of her family and friends.

Rhonda is preceded in death by her parents, L.D. and Pauline Kessinger; her husband, George Willis Jr.; niece, Melissa Ellison, and many other nieces and nephews, family and friends.

Those left to cherish her memory are Lori and Paris Adger, KS; Michael Ellison, OK; George Willis, Shawnee, OK; Sharon Willis and John Buchanan, TX; grandchildren: Terrell Gordon, TX and Chantele` Gordon; great-granddaughter, Aniyah Gordon, Wewoka; companion, Richard Cruz, Shawnee, OK; brother, Donald and Shella Kessinger, Shawnee, OK; sister, Jaquatta Ellison, TX; sister, Pamela and Richard Murdock, TX; sister, Beverly and Larry Brown of Shawnee, along with a host of other family and friends.

A visitation for Rhonda will be held Tuesday, June 11, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home, 44909 Highway 3, Shawnee, OK 74801. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at 10:00 AM, 44909 Highway 3, Shawnee, OK 74801. A committal service will occur Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Resthaven Memorial Park, 16006 S Rock Creek Rd, Shawnee, OK 74801.
