Larry Preston Floyd

Larry Preston Floyd, 66, of Shawnee passed away on December 13, 2013 in Shawnee. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at the Resthaven Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at Resthaven Funeral Home. Services are entrusted to Resthaven Funeral Home.

Mr. Floyd was born on October 28, 1947 in Shawnee to Ben Preston and Nona Lee (Seaborn) Floyd. He has been a lifelong resident of Shawnee. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors. He attended church anywhere that Brother Larry Sparks was preaching that Sunday. Mr. Floyd loved watching western movies especially another that John Wayne was a part of. Most importantly he enjoyed spending time with his family. He enjoyed teasing his grandchildren and making them laugh.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Donald Floyd and Steven Lee Floyd.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years; Jarry Floyd; son, Russell Allen Floyd and his wife Alicia; daughter, Angela Michelle Thompson and her husband Mac; Granddaughter, Darian Nicole Floyd; Grandson, Isaiah Thompson; Granddaughter, Jayden Floyd; Granddaughter. Makiah Thompson; Brother, Bennie and his wife Julie Floyd; Sister Margaret Diane Webber and her husband David and numerous nieces and nephews.
