John Cooper

John Everett Cooper passed from this life to be with the Lord on May 7, 2016, Shawnee, Oklahoma at the age of 79. His memorial service will be held Saturday, May 14th at Liberty Baptist Church, Shawnee, OK at 11:00 a.m.

He was born to John G and Ellen Cooper on February 13, 1937 in Higginsville, Missouri. He married Bettie Ann Burgett July 28, 1963 in Stroud, Oklahoma and together they a three children. He attended Liberty Baptist Church in Shawnee, OK for many years

John is preceded in death by his parents John G. and Ellen Cooper, two sisters Delores and Joan Cooper.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 53 years, Bettie Ann Cooper, of the home; one son, John W. Cooper and Wife Carrol of Shawnee, OK, two daughters, Jean Cooper and fiancé Joe Hawkins of El Reno, OK and Mary Cooper of Shawnee, OK. Grandchildren include: James Porter of Shawnee, OK; Jason Porter of El Reno, OK; Christian Oliver and wife Shelley of Warr Acres, OK; Amber Stephens and husband Kris of Oklahoma City, OK; Trevor Cooper and fiancé Ashley of Shawnee, OK; and Christopher Cooper of Shawnee, OK. Great Grandchildren include: Keaton and Logan Porter of El Reno, OK; Brogan and Rhys Oliver of Warr Acres, OK and Allen Gardner of Shawnee, OK.
