Ella Edwina Kelly was called home to Glory September 6, 2013. Born June 14, 1945, in Galveston, TX. Grew up in Tonkawa, OK attending Billings schools. Earned her Bachelor’s degree from OU and Master’s degree in FRCD at OSU. Worked 20 years as an OSU Extension Educator in Chandler. Attended Immanuel Baptist Church in Shawnee.
Her giving nature & generous heart will be remembered by all those who knew her. She was an extremely talented artist & seamstress who loved quilting & sewing for family/friends. She was a photographer, speaker, & author. She embroidered beautiful, counted cross-stitch designs & painted oil landscapes, providing treasured heirlooms for loved ones. Her hands were always busy & it was her ultimate joy to serve God with her talents & abilities blessing so many in the process.
She is survived by her husband Paul Kelly; children Phillip, Ginger, Holly, Kristi & their spouses; grandchildren Raina, Autumn, Laura, Adrian, Keith, Taylor, Brittni and Dylan & great grandchildren Orin, Hunter, Devin & Avery; her sister-in-law, Modena Cooley & her best friend, Elaine Harris. She was predeceased by first husband Jay Roy Lovelace & third husband Charles Douglas & parents William & Mary Simmons.
