Edith "Meme" M. Curtis

Edith "Meme" Marie Curtis 96, entered into her eternal heavenly home on October 1st, 2023, in Prague, Oklahoma. Edith was born on August 29, 1927 in Ray Valley Arkansas to Josie and Russell Hall. One month later they moved to Oklahoma.

February 1,1947 she married Kenneth "Dee" Loyd Curtis. They were married 75 years, which most of has been in Tecumseh, Oklahoma. Together they raised their 3 children, Carolyn, Ronnie and Randy.

Edith retired from Sears after 33 years of dedication. She never met a stranger. All were welcome in her home especially at meal time. Her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren were her greatest joy. Her memory will live on forever with her family and friends. She will be missed.

Meme leaves behind many to cherish her memory, husband Kenneth of the home, Daughter Carolyn Gowder, of Shawnee, Son Ronnie Curtis of Macomb and friend Norma Rawls, Son Randy Curtis of Shawnee, OK, Grandchildren Liz Livingston (partner Jess Wilson and son Shooter) of McAlester, OK, Kelly Veeley (husband Tom, children Keygan and Dalton) of Shawnee, OK, Audrea Curtis (partner Vickie Garrett and son Tyler) of Shawnee, OK, Dillion Curtis of Macomb, OK, Greatgrandchildren Trey Green of Oklahoma City, OK, Hunter Green(partner Hailey Wiley) of Shawnee, OK, Curtis Taron of Norfolk VA, Landry Taron of Shawnee, OK, Great-great grandchildren Bentlee Karter, Rylynn Keithly and Kashton Boone Green. Brother-in-law Buster Hale of Shawnee, and Sister-in-law Johnice Hall of Shawnee. And many nieces, nephews and extended family.

A visitation for Edith will be held Sunday, October 8, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home, 44909 Highway 3, Shawnee, OK 74801. A funeral service will occur Monday, October 9, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home.
