Carol June McGuire

She received her Associate Degree from St Gregory College in Shawnee. She worked as an Administrative Assistant in the Safety Center at Gordon Cooper Technology Center from 1981 -2007, 36 years until her retirement.

Carol married James “Jim” Ray McGuire on July 27, 2002 in Shawnee. Carol loved spending time with her family. She loved to hang out with Jim and laugh with the grandkids. Carol was strong willed, opinionated, and had a witty sense of humor. She hated talking on phones and would rather see you in person.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents Gilbert and June Brawner and brother Keith Ramsey.

Survivors include her husband, Jim McGuire of the home , son James and wife Michele Ray of Maud, OK; Jason Ray of Chandler, OK; Shawn and Enid McGuire of Chandler, OK; Ryan McGuire of Lincoln City, OR; daughters Koleen and husband Mike Paschal of Oklahoma City, OK; Jenny and husband Jeff Kile of Philadelphia, PA; Gretchen and husband Paul Groseta of Cottonwood, AZ; grandchildren Brandon, Rodney, Jason, Scott, Treyton, Trevor, Tatum and Trace Ray, Amber and Colton Deatherage, Tabitha Gordon, Terrah Hardy, Kirsten Paschal-Wilson, Abbigayle and Tryston McGuire, Jake, Dylan, Grace and Peter Groseta; great grandchildren Mikaylee Rogers, Caden Gordon, Maggie and McPherson Johnson; and a very special Aunt Loretta Moore of Shawnee, OK. Carol will be dearly missed by all of her family, friends, and colleagues.

A visitation for Carol will be held Wednesday, January 11, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home, 49909 HWY 3, Shawnee, Oklahoma 74801. A funeral service will occur Thursday, January 12, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home.
