Sharonville – Dorothy Joan Boland (née Popp) had a full life and passed away on Monday evening, July 9th at the age of 90. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leroy “Pat” Boland, her parent’s, George and Dorothy Popp, her two sisters, Mary Bischoff and Georgann Volz and her brother Ralph Popp. She is survived by her children Michael Boland, Kim Reiniger (David), Sean Boland (Sherie Kelly, special friend), Tina Bessey (Jeff), Cindy Boland (Daughter-In-Law), her 10 grandchildren Leeanne, Tyler, Casey, Bailee, Cody, Chelsie, Tyler, Cameron, Alexa, Kyle, and 6 great grandchildren.
Dorothy was born on January 6, 1928. She graduated from Seton High School in 1946. She and Pat were married November 27, 1952. She worked at Procter and Gamble for about ten years until she resigned to begin her most important job as Mom on June 22, 1957. Reports from all her children were that she was the best Mom that they could have ever had. In fact, she was such a good Mom, that she continued to give guidance and support to all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She finally resigned from all responsibilities on Monday evening. She will be greatly missed!
Per her wishes, the Visitation will be held on Friday, July 13, 2018 from 9:30AM – 10:45AM at St Savior Church, 4136 Myrtle Avenue, Deer Park, OH 45236. There will be a Catholic Mass of Christian Burial immediately following at 11:00AM at St Saviour Church. Burial will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery following the Mass. In lieu of flowers, call your children or parent’s and tell them you love them.
