There is so much to say about Teresa, it is difficult to know where to begin.
Teresa was a loving, affectionate daughter and sister, eldest of four children. She was valedictorian of Osbourn Park High School in 1977, graduating a year early, a runner up in the Miss Virginia Pageant and an accomplished Archer.
Teresa started her professional career as a stenographer and worked in the legal field for over 30 years. In later years she worked as a bookkeeper and office manager for attorneys and engineers.
She was valued and inspirational to all that she helped and met throughout her professional career.
In 1978 Teresa met Harry through a friend and their love story began. Harry and Teresa married in December of 1980 and had 43 wonderful, adventurous, loving years together. They had a love like no other.Teresa was an admirable, delightful, nurturing mother to her two children, Owen and Leah.
She was so very proud of them and the people and parents they have become.
Teresa most enjoyed the beach, church, art, music, nature and spending time with friends and family.
She was a devoted and loving Christian, wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt, friend and exceptional grandmother to her and Harry’s four grandchildren. She was sunshine to everyone she met. Her kind, vibrant soul and love for others will be forever missed.
A memorial service (to be announced) will be held in Virginia at a later date.
Teresa would want all those who are mourning her passing to recall this scripture, some of her favorites:
Psalms 147:3
He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
