Shannon Ray Long

Shannon was born in Columbus County on August 2, 1977 to Arnold Ray and Wanda Long. Mr. Long was a Park Supervisor for Brunswick County Parks and Recreation. Shannon was very passionate about softball, especially coaching kids. He served as an assistant coach at Waccamaw Elementary School and also coached for Brunswick County Parks and Recreation. He also has served as President of West Brunswick Dixie Youth Softball.

He is survived by his parents, Arnold Ray Long and Wanda Long of Ash; his daughter, Alexis Long of the home and numerous cousins and extended family.

Funeral services will be held Monday June 5, 2023 at two o'clock in the afternoon at White Funeral and Cremation Service Lou White Memorial Chapel with Reverend Jason Benton officiating. Burial will follow in the Long Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be, Raymond Coleman, Kendall Ward, Craig Fields, Patrick Williams, Nathan Brown and Kaleb Ferguson.

The family will receive friends Sunday evening June 4th from six o'clock until eight o'clock at White Funeral and Cremation Service, Shallotte Chapel
