Mary Margaret Snead

Mary was born March 4, 1972 in Binghamton, New York, daughter of George Cron and Mary Fogleman. She spent many years in law enforcement, serving with Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office as the DARE Officer and with Shallotte Police Department where she served as a detective. Mary was currently employed at Arbor Landing as a CNA Med Tech. She was a member of New Beginnings Church of Shallotte.

Survivors include her father, George Cron of Asheboro; mother, Mary Fogleman of Burlington; son, Tyler Snead of Shallotte; brother, Georgie Cron and wife Dewanda of Asheboro; two nieces, Tambi Martin of Bull Head, Arizona and Callie McCumbee of Ash; and her best friend/sister, Stacey McCumbee of Ash.

Funeral services will be Sunday July, 14, 2024 at three o’clock in the afternoon at New Beginnings Church with Pastor Brad Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Cemetery in Shallotte. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Snead, Ryan Danford, Tyler Crouch, Jeff Gaskins, Joe Smith, and Sam Young.
