Marilyn will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 46 years, Ron and their children Heather (Erik) Feus and Peter (Holly) Anderson as well as grandchildren Emilie, Wyatt, Lang, Austin, and step-grandchildren Evan and Adam. She will also be fondly remembered by her sisters, Sandra Pierson and Nancy Myers.
Marilyn was predeceased by her brother, Richard Myers and her parents John and Angeline Myers.
Marilyn was born in Wilmington, Delaware on December 25, 1945.
She graduated from Thiel College and worked as an elementary school teacher for 12 years before earning her Master's degree in library science from James Madison University. She worked as an elementary school librarian for 15 years.
She was an avid reader, loved to play tennis, was the head of the women's ministry at church, Bible study fellowship member, and loved to work in the garden. She also dedicated her time to volunteering in the pediatric ICU holding and praying over babies, and volunteered at the healing center. She also enjoyed her travels to Germany, Austria, France, Ireland.
Marilyn's positivity radiated throughout her life along with her strong faith. She was an amazing peacekeeper in the family and always supported her children and grandchildren, whether that meant going to their games or babysitting children. She was never a complainer and always tried to see the best in people. She had a great sense of humor a beautiful laugh that was contagious. She seemed to always be happy and cheerful. She gave great advice and cared for others, helping to encourage those who were feeling down. She was always very polite and thankful, a spiritual Godly woman
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 29 at Myrtle Grove Evangelical Presbyterian Church, located at 800 Piner Road. Wilmington NC.
Prior to the service, friends may call upon the family at 12:00 p.m.. at the church; a light meal in the Fellowship Hall will follow the service. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Marilyn's life.
