He was born in Whitesboro, Texas, to William L. and Rozella M. (Fabor) Aiken on November 26, 1917.
Mr. Aiken was employed as a rubber worker making tires for United States Rubber Company for 36 years.
He married Thelma L. Welch on December 31, 1948, in Las Vegas.
He enjoyed hunting and the outdoors, as well as bowling.
Mr. Aiken is survived by his son, Marvin, and wife, Carol Aiken; daughters and son-in-law Carol Twiss and Beverly and Oscar Taylor; 17 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma; son-in-law Tom Twiss; and three sisters.
Visitation will be held Thursday, August 11, 2011, from 9 a.m. to noon at Sequim Valley Funeral Chapel, 108 West Alder Street. Graveside services will be held after the viewing at 1 p.m. at Sequim View Cemetery, 1505 Sequim-Dungeness Way. A reception following services will be held at Sequim Valley Funeral Chapel.
