Janice was born on January 27th,1955 to loving parents Elizabeth & George Neilson. Born and raised in Michigan with her nine brothers and sisters (Kitty, Nancy, April, Holly, Honor, Terry, Timmy, Tommy, and Bobby), she grew up surrounded by love and strong family values. Janice married Larry Morris at the young age of 22 and later welcomed her only child Leslie, whom she lovingly and proudly referred to as “Sweets”. Moving to Florida was a major milestone in her life. Janice loved the beach and beautiful sunsets. She would later divorce, but maintained a close and loving friendship with Larry throughout her life. She was a faithful Sister and would do anything for her siblings. She had many nieces/nephews and enjoyed being an Aunt/Great Aunt. Janice ensured each of them knew they were loved. The highlight of her life was becoming a grandmother to the "two stars" in her world, Liam and Everly. She was a devoted and loving grandmother, fostering a deep relationship with them both. She attracted many beautiful friends throughout her lifetime that she loved deeply. Janice had an exceptional partner, Brian, with whom she enjoyed travel and beautiful adventures with until her passing.
Janice was the epitome of love and kindness. She loved life and lived by the mottos of "Be happy" and "Live, Love, and Laugh." She loved music, dancing, a little wine, being outdoors, watching sunsets and helping others. She inspired many with her positivity, hope, and love until the very end. It is with pride and love that we honor her legacy.
In lieu of flowers, we would like to give back to Suncoast Hospice. Any donations made will support their mission and secure a plaque or bench in Janice’s memory. Donations can be made in her name (Janice Morris) by contacting Hospice at 727-523-2441
