My condolences to the family.  I just received the KWVA newsletter and read about his passing.

Ann, Kathy, and Jimmy, we are so sorry to hear of George's passing.  He was a wonderful man and a delight to be around.  We always knew we were in for a lot of laughs when we were going to see him.  We are sorry we did not make the funeral, but please know that you all were in our hearts and prayers.

I remember Uncle George telling me that he was going to bring down his mother-in-law because she was ill and she could spend the rest of her days with Ann and himself. Then she went on to live to be over a hundred years old. I remember that "dam dog", Ringo. I hope he is not in Heaven with George, and if he is, I hope he still doesn't have any teeth. I remember passing by a cemetary and George telling me he couldn't be buried there. I asked him why, and he said, "Because I'm not dead yet". I remember going up an escalator with George and when we went up high, he went down and started hugging onto my legs because he was afraid of heights. His face was all red, and I realized why Jimmy called him "Pinky". I remember him showing up with Ann at so many family events. He was a permanent fixture in my life for 68 years. I remember coming to stay with Ann & George and told George I was thinking about renting a motorcycle. He said, "Gees, don't do that. The old people will kill you." I said, "Why? Do they have it in for guys who ride motorcycles?"
He said, "No, they can't see." Just then, some old guy was driving his car over a parking barrier. George said, "See what I mean?" I am going to miss you George. I have many good "Ann & George" memories. (and one or two bad "Ringo" memories, ha ha). One of your many favorite nephews, Jay

Ann, Kathy and Jimmy,
  I am sincerely sorry for your loss.  My memories of George are always that sweet smile and laugh.  He was such a pleasure to be around.  Kathy--you always say George called me "his other daughter" and that always makes me smile.  Thoughts and prayers are coming your way daily.

Dear Ann, the world has lost a wonderful man who  brightened up the lives of those around him with his brilliant sense of humor, that contagious little smile, and a twinkle in his eye! He will be missed by a multitude if people, especially all  his Florida relatives who looked to him as the Patriarch of the  Carter Family!  He carried out those duties perfectly !

I wish I could be there to say a goodbye to such a special human being.   Uncle George and Aunt Ann have always been there for family.  A true testament and exemplary love of family and friends.  
Always at family events people asked "Are George and Ann coming?"  Your love and laughter lights a room wherever you go and everyone is so happy to see you.  
My thoughts and prayers are with you Aunt Ann.  We love you and hope to share great memories again soon.  
May God enjoy the love, laughter and comfort of having such a compassionate man by his side to watch over us.

I do know this - if you don't at least smile when you remember George - then you don't remember George.  Somewhere in Heaven he is telling the same jokes we all heard - and heard, and came back to hear again.

George was a great person with a wonderful sense of humor and a kind heart. I could always count on a good joke from George. I feel ever so blessed to have known George and will miss him so much. My heart goes out to Ann, Kathy, Jimmy and family.

So sorry to hear of George's death. You all were such great friends to my Mom&Dad (George&Gladys Bibelhauser). Always loved hearing George's stories. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

When we remember George, we recall his laughter.  Our hearts mourn his passing, but his spirit lives on!  God bless you and your family, Ann.

George will be greatly missed by his many friends.  I sat with him at the Rotary Club of Pinellas Park last Thursday like I have done for many years.  He was always upbeat, friendly, and had stories and a joke or two to tell.  He loved supporting veterans events and other service projects such as Ringing Bell for Salvation Army.

Uncle George was one of the most loving, humorous, and honorable men I ever met.  I always looked forward to hearing his voice, seeing his smile, and listening to the banter between him and the 62-year love of his life, Aunt Ann.  He had wisdom and was giving with his time and his heart.  The world was brighter with him in it, and he will be sorely missed.  Much love, sympathy and prayers for all who knew him well.
