She moved to Florida in 1952 from her native Chicago, Illinois. Carol was a member of O.E.S. Eurika Chapter #5 of St. Petersburg and a Mother Advisor to the Rainbow Girls.
She was preceded in death by her son, Scott, and a brother, Ralph Thorstensen.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Ray N. Rich; her daughter, Kelley (John) McEntegart; her son, Kevin (Lisa) Rich; grandchildren, Kristine (James) Slayton, Bryan and Kimberly McEntegart, Alison Rich, Christopher Woods, and Kamrie Rich; and great grandchildren, Cypher and Thor Slayton, and Jaylee Johnson.
Visitation held Saturday, May 12, 2012 from 2:00 pm until service time at 3:00 pm at Garden Sanctuary Funeral Home with committal prayers and interment to follow at Garden Sanctuary Cemetery.
