A native of Seguin, Fermin was a proud World War II Army Veteran. Fermin returned to the states and worked for Kelly Air Force Base and traveled the world as an Electronics and Radar Specialist until his retirement in 1979. The years between his birth and death were filled with two long and fulfilling marriages, the first to Leocadia (Leo) whom he met and married in France after the end of World War II and was married to for 33 years until her death in 1977. He became the loving father of Sonia, and they brought into the world two daughters, Jackie an Debi. After he retired he returned to Seguin and began a new life with his loving wife, Leonor (Nora), for 37 years until his death. With this marriage, he enfolded in his life and heart two more daughters, G.G. and Angela.
He was a noble, kind, and wise man with unmatchable character and made a profound impact on anyone who had the pleasure to know him. He lived his life with honor and patience. His family, both close and extended, will forever hold him dear to their hearts. Daddy, Papi, Ito , Grandpa, Viejo, Pops, Fermin, Mr. Saenz , however you knew him, he was an inspiration and a pillar of strength, loyalty and love. He also was a mentor to many, teacher of the importance of family and championed the American dream. As he would always say, “God Bless America.” You have left us but you will always be with us in our hearts. God bless you. Arrangements under the direction of Goetz Funeral Home, Seguin, TX.
