Consuelo B. Salinas

Consuelo Belmarez Salinas of Seguin, Tx passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2013 at the age of 93. She was born to David Belmarez and Juliana Flores on February 14, 1920. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe Salinas Sr., and son, Joe Salinas Jr.

She is survived by her children, Pauline and Dave Smith, Silvia and Rudy Serna, Tony Salinas and Matilda Arango, Yolanda and Isabail Rivera, Julia and Kenneth Butler, David Salinas and Louie and Kathy Salinas, 18 Grandchildren, 27 Great-grandchildren, 1 Great-great-grandchild and her sisters Aurora Walker from Houston and Josefina Saucedo from Phoenix, AZ.

Consuelo was an excellent tamale maker and avid BINGO player. She enjoyed attending dancing; especially to her favorite band, Tierra Tejana. She was also an avid Dallas Cowboys and World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) fan.

Visitation will be on Thursday, August 15, 2013 from 9:00 a. m. to 9:00 p. m., with a Rosary to be recited by Deacon Nick Carrillo at 7:00 p. m. at Goetz Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, August 16, 2013 at 9:00 a. m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will be at 10:45 a. m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Tx.
