Olga Kochan

Olga Kochan, age 87, of Jersey City, New Jersey passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2022. Olga was born in Poland and lived most of her life in Jersey City. She did Building Maintenance for the Local 32BJ out of Manhattan for many years before retiring.

Olga is survived by her children Valery “Charlie” Samoilow and his wife Robin, and Helen Giambona and her husband Joseph; Grandchildren, Melissa Scuderi, Larisa Giambona, and Julia Giambona; Great Grandchildren, Sarah Rose Scuderi, and Emma Jean Scuderi along with many Cousins, Extended Family, and Friends. She is Predeceased by her parents Bazyli and Anna Protz, her loving husband Peter Kochan, and her siblings Leon Protz, Anastasia Punko, Mary Kedriora, Ksienia Demidozicz, and Katherine Kalyn.

A visitation for Olga will be held Wednesday, May 25, 2022 from 4 to 8 PM at Mack Memorial Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, NJ 07094. A Liturgy will be offered at St’s Peter and Paul Orthodox Cathedral at 10:30am on Thursday, followed by her committal service at Hillside Cemetery, Lyndhurst, NJ.
