Mary Dempsey, age 85, of North Bergen, passed away on Friday, June 16, 2017, at the Englewood Hospital.
Born in Jersey City, NJ to the late John and Gertrude (Cahill) Sawyer, she worked as an office manager for Marion Cello in Carlstadt for many years.
Predeceased by her husband Joseph R. Dempsey, and her daughter Maureen Hendershott, she is survived by her daughters Patricia and her husband Charles Niclas, Kathleen and her husband Robert Faiano, and Eileen Dempsey; son in law Lewis Hendershott; and her brother Robert Sawyer. She is also survived by her six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Sunday, June 18 from 4-8PM at the Mack Memorial Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, NJ 07094. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 19th 9:30 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church, Secaucus, NJ.
