Joseph “Jimmy” Gallagher, 85, a lifelong resident of Secaucus, NJ entered into rest at home surrounded by his family on Tuesday April 14, 2015. Beloved husband of Mary (nee Reilly) Gallagher. Devoted father of Joseph J. Gallagher and his wife Pam, Mary Medina and her husband Tony and Maureen Schneider and her husband Mike. Loving grandfather of Anthony, Ryan, Brandon, Austin Medina and Christopher and Corey Schneider. Dear Brother-law of Frank & Sharon Reilly, Harry Reilly, Joseph Reilly & Patricia & Bill Mayer Uncle to Christine Egan, Sandra Gonzalez and their families as well as many other nieces & nephews. Jimmy is pre-deceased by his parents Francis & Nora Gallagher, his Loving Nanny Catherine Klees and his brothers Frank & John and sister Nancy. Jimmy served his country proudly in the US Navy during the Korean War. He was a Police Officer for the NJ & NY Port Authority. Visitation will be held Thursday April 16, 2015 from 4 PM to 8 PM at Mack Memorial Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus. The family will gather at the funeral home with their relatives and friends on Friday at 9:45 AM for a 10:45 AM funeral mass at Immaculate Conception Church. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations in memorial of Jimmy may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 505 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38101-9908
