Jennifer died at the young age of 63 due to complications of diabetes and kidney failure. She will be remembered for her deep love of life and family. She is a graduate of Cathedral High School Class of 1976, and former co- owner of Smith Jeans. She was a very successful business woman who traveled all over the world. She loved to eat and she was a great cook.
Her family was very important to her, and she never missed an opportunity to let them know she loved them. Jennie, as she was affectionately known, was always happy and youthful, a ball of high octane energy with the filthiest mouth ever. She is known for the way she treated everyone with the utmost respect, from the corner store’s cashier to the homeless person on the street. She greeted everyone with a kind “hello,” and they responded in kind. She was a loving daughter, sister, cousin and auntie. She is survived by her four sisters, brother, seven nieces and nephews, and five great-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving parents and her sister, Martha.
Jennie was a devoted Catholic and had great faith in the Lord throughout her life. We truly believe that her soul has entered the gates of heaven and she is there with Mommy and Poppy, and her sister.
In lieu of flowers, please feel free to make a donation in Jennie’s memory to the American Diabetes Foundation or a charity of your choosing.
