Giovanna DeCandia

Giovanna DeCandia 96, passed away on Wednesday August 16,2023. Giovanna was born to the late Luca and Eccelsa (Vitulano) DeRobertis in Molfetta Italy. When her family emigrated to the US in 1963 they lived in Hoboken for approximately 10 years, moved to Secaucus for 35 years and then to Barnegat for the last 20 years of her life. She was a homemaker and devoted to taking care of her family. Giovanna was married to her late husband Damiano DeCandia and survived by her devoted children Sebastiano and his wife Nancy, Luke and his wife Colleen and Maria Grace Italiano and her husband Onofrio, her cherished siblings Giuseppina LaForgia and her husband Giuseppe, Nunzia Circonciso and her husband Cesare, the late Chiara DeCandia, the late Corrado DeRobertis and the late Sergio DeRobertis . She had 7 grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Mack Memorial Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road in Secaucus on Wednesday August 23 from 9-10:45AM. Immediately followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:45AM at Immaculate Conception Church followed by her entombment at Holy Cross Mausoleum, 340 Ridge Rd. in North Arlington.
