Still loving and missing you everyday mom❤️🥺

Hi Mom,
Well Thanksgiving is approaching & I’ve been reminiscing about all the Thanksgivings I would wake up & smell Thanksgiving emanating throughout the house.  You’d be basting the turkey, making all those wonderful side dishes, the parade would be on TV & it only makes me realize more, the amount of love you always put into all our holidays!  Mom, it takes 3 of us to accomplish everything you did. (I know you’re LOL right now).  We are all still hurting over the loss of you.  We miss your smile, voice, & those beautiful blue eyes!  We all wish you were still here with us but realize we’re just being selfish because we know in our hearts you would never want to live the way you were.  Don’t  worry about daddy because we're all taking care of him, just as you would want us to.  I hope you were happy when we visited you on your birthday & sang Happy Birthday!  Then, as you, Lin & I always did, we went to PA on Halloween to close the property up for the winter & of course, stopped at Ideal Farms.  Whatever we were doing, all of us always worked so well together as a family, whether preparing for a special event or planning for the holidays, etc.  Recently, I was upset while driving home, thinking how I wished you'd send me a sign that you're still here with me in some way & as that thought was in my mind, I came over the hill & there you were!  It was the most beautiful sunset I have seen in a very long time.  The sun was burnt orange & so big that I burst out crying because I just knew that was you reassuring me of your presence.  Thank you for that, Mom!  I miss your guidance & that take-charge attitude to just get it done, whatever “it” was.  You taught us so many valuable lessons throughout our lives, each one of us, & I hope we are making you proud.  I just wanted you to know you are & will always be in my thoughts, prayers & heart.  Until we meet again, & I can give you a huge hug & lots of kisses, Happy Thanksgiving Mommy! Love you with ALL my heart XOXO 

My first memory of my Aunt Diane was from when I was a little girl. My parents had these fabulous New Years Eve parties every year. I remember Aunt Diane and Uncle Buddy attending and they were the cutest young couple. Another special memory was almost 7 years ago when Aunt Diane and Uncle Buddy and all their children and spouses attended our son’s wedding. It meant so very much to me to have my family there. Aunt Diane and Uncle Buddy danced a special anniversary dance because they had the most number of years married at the party. (I think there’s a photo of Aunt Diane dancing also in this photo collection). I loved looking at all the wonderful family photos in this memorial and did so three or four times. In one, like many, Aunt Diane is so beautiful! She has her gorgeous red hair done up on her head all in curls. As I was looking at it I realized that she and my Aunt Frances were on the steps of the church where I had just been married!

My most special memory of my Aunt Diane was of her thoughtfulness. Often when she would go to Holy Cross Cemetery she would leave flowers on my parents’ grave because she knew we lived far away and couldn’t get there often. This simple act of kindness will always be a special memory of my Aunt Diane and will forever be in my heart. The beauty of her thoughtfulness, love, and caring is that it lives on in her children. My thoughts and prayers are with them and my Uncle Buddy during this

My Aunt Dede. You always called me Nini.  I remember you simply always being there from the beginning of my memories.   I shared so many things with you.  You taught me how to dance to Woolly Bully with mommy and those black capezios you so loved !  I was so young!   You taught me with such patience how to play canasta so I could be with the adults since I was the oldest of the 6 of us.  You taught me to have a sense of humor.   Because life was funny...and you lived it to the fullest.  I could go on and on.  I was always amazed by your red hair and how you told me being a redhead was special!   You were proud of me when I graduated college and always made me feel special.. I will miss you and I know in my heart you are at peace...and I know that you are an angel protecting me and everyone you love.  You will be so missed by all of us...until we meet again...I love you.  Nini

I got introduced to Diane when i was about 18 ,I joined the crossing guards bowling team , She was a great lady . Taught me how to bowl. It was always fun to be in her company.Rest in peace. Next time i hear thunder ill think of you.

I can’t believe I am writing this about my Mom and one of my best friends. I believe I don’t have to remind friends and family what a wonderful, caring, giving, people person,  never the type to complain, so much a mama bear our Mom was.  I believe everybody who reads this and knew my Mom  will remember at least one of these qualities, if not more, about her.  As my sis says above, she made all of our holidays so very, very special.  In the summers, when we were little, she would drive us to her sister Glady’s house in Moonachie to spend time with our cousins Denise, John & Barbara.  This from a woman who did not like to drive! Our camping trips with the Cabany family were so much fun.  Christmas time with Aunt Fran & Uncle Tony.  And her grandchildren, Sean, Diana & Samantha-oh, they were her treasures!   I could go on & on.  She was and always will be my hero. She always made me feel safe in this wild but wonderful world of ours.   My heart is missing a piece but I know after some time she will mend it every time I think of her.  My selfishness still wants you here with me but I know you are at peace and not suffering anymore.  I love you Mom and miss you so very much. ❤️

When I first meet Diane, I meet her thru my husband Andrew and her son Bobby at a  firehouse event. I could have never imagined meeting the most sweetest, loving women she was. She took you in and made you feel like family. She always had a kind word to say to you and she made you feel loved. She was and still is a very special lady. I love that I got to know you for many years and I will miss you.  We loved you Diane always.  

Hi Mommy,

When I got that phone call today, the one I have been dreading, so many thoughts of you raced through my mind, and my heart literally broke.  It hurt so badly that I thought, so THIS is what a broken heart truly feels like.  I have endured a broken heart before Mom, as you are well aware, because it was your love that helped heal it numerous times but, nothing, absolutely nothing compared to this.  You had a beautiful soul, a heart of gold and you always taught us to appreciate what we had, and to give to others less fortunate.  You were an amazing mom, wife, grandma, great grandma, sister, aunt, and friend.  God truly blessed us when he gave us you!  There is no way I could give just one memory Mom because there are just too many wonderful memories you made for us over the years.  All the holidays you made extra special for us, but the ones I'll hold closest to my heart are of Christmastime because it was your favorite holiday and I will forever think of you when I hear John Lennon's, "So This Is Christmas."  So I just want to say thank you Mom, thank you for all the fun times we've shared as a family, for always being there when we needed you the most, for all the "belly" laughs we shared together, for ALL the wonderful memories, for the life you gave me/us, and for being the wonderful mother you were, but most of all, for the unconditional love you've always given as only you could.  I will love and miss you always Mom!  Until we meet again, may God keep you in the palm of his hand.  Rest in Peace my sweet mother! All My Love Always & Forever, your Baby Girl.
