I remember the first time I met Wilma.  I was dating Tami and I was meeting the whole family so everyone was there.  We were all sitting around visiting when I asked Wilma  “excuse me mam can I get something to drink” and suddenly everybody laughed and someone said oh we just call her grandma.  As I turned red from embarrassment Wilma looked at me smiled and said I could call her Wilma or grandma it was up to me.  I’ll miss you grandma. 

I will forever remember my Gma's laugh, her smile and even her orneriness. She's been gone a week, but it seems like so much longer. Gma I miss you so much. 

My all time favorite memory of my Gma is when Joni and so were little my Gma and my uncle would take us school shopping. My mom would always tag along but before we went my mom would be sure to remind us don't ask your Gma for anything, so we never did ask for anything but Gma and Uncle would always ask us questions like do you like this? Together Joni and I would shake our heads yes , we didn't dare look at my mom because behind us mom would be whispering girls that's enough clothes. I will never never never forget the look my Gma would give my mom, that look will forever stick in my head. 

Another fun memory I have of my Gma is when Mike and I brought Kenny home from the hospital. Gma was holding Kenny, Samantha climbed up on her lap, she was curious, maybe even a little jealous that Gma was holding this baby. Gma was so patient, she showed Samantha how to touch him so gently, whispering so softly about his toes, his arms, his fingers, anything Samantha wanted to learn about. Gma and Sam cuddled him and kissed him together for a long time.

Gma we miss you so much, life just isn't the same without you. We will remember your loving hear and carry your memories with us. RIP Gma! 

This picture popped up on Facebook today saying 7 years ago I posted it. The picture was taken a lot longer ago than that but this is a great picture of mom surrounded by her family. Love you and miss you mom.

I remember as a teen she would give me rides all over (especially when I would miss the bus) she always had music going star 101.5 was the station it was on the most unless it was the holidays. She would always make funny jokes about some of the songs that would come on. During Christmas time she would sing along her voice was so soft and beautiful I loved those moments with her. They were so full of laughter and joy. I also remember sitting around her house and laughing at all the littles running around or the crazy stories of my mom and uncles and how rambunctious they were, the hell they raised. She reminded me to laugh at the moments where you want to explode. I have so many more memories but those will always stick with me. 

I remember moms laughter. We laughed a lot because I was providing an IPhone for the last few years so we could stay connected when the power went out. That was the excuse I gave her for why she needed one. The only phone she had was a land line. Mom kept saying you can buy it, I’ll never use it but she was learning to use it, she knew how to get messages but not how to send them. Recently I was in a position of needing  surgery, I was texting mom letting her know what was going on and that I loved her so much. Mom called and left me a voicemail sometime while I was sleeping saying she’s getting all my texts and she wanted to let me know I was going to be ok. Her voice cracked at the very end of her message. Well I never did get that message I think one of my kids got it and told me my mom had left a voicemail saying she loved me but I found that voicemail a couple days ago, after mom had passed. I listened to it, oh the joy of hearing her voice again. I will keep that message forever listening to it when I feel lonely or when I need to hear her voice. I love you mom.
