Terry loved to travel, spend time with family and friends, and was always the life of the party. He had a strong passion for those who loved him and had a specific way of showing and delivering that love. His family and friends knew him to be a fighter who overcame many life obstacles. Terry is a genuine inspiration for all, never slowing down over his seven-year battle with cancer.
His beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of his son, Patrick Trainor, brothers Tim and Dan Trainor, sister Jennifer and her husband Brad Roy, five nephews, Cameron Bryce, Adam Bryce, Shane Trainor, Jordan Trainor, Tanner Trainor, and two nieces, Danielle Trainor and Ashley Carson, his partner Joe Dalere, and many loving friends. Everyone who knew him will carry wonderful memories of their precious time spent with Terry.
Terry was a devoted family man and athlete. He was a top performer in track throughout high school and into college. He excelled in many triathlons and did not shy away from competition. Terry always brought his winning spirit to every event.
Terry brought that same winning spirit into his career, starting at PSA Airlines in 1986. One of Terry’s favorite sayings was, “I am just a middle-aged, middle-class, middle manager.” When in fact, Terry rose to the executive ranks becoming Senior Vice President for Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) in January 2020.
The services will begin with a viewing at Butterworth Funeral Home at 11:00 am and the funeral following at 12:00 pm. Graveside service at Forest Lawn Cemetery at 2:00 pm. See below for more service information. The service will be livestreamed. A livestream link will be posted prior to the service start time.
“Life is a song – sing it. Life is a game – play it. Life is a challenge – meet it. Life is a sacrifice – offer it. Life is love – enjoy it.” – Sathya Sai Baba
