A life-long educator, Temma taught students (and her own children at times) across seven decades with her final job as substitute teacher at age 80. She helped lead safaris to Kenya, once gave a folk dance exhibition at Disneyland, shared her love of cooking with her sons, and always had something positive to say about most things. She genuinely adored her children, grandchildren, and great-grandson, yard work, books, birds, travel, husband Marvin, and keeping track of almost everything. Temma was able to share most of her final few years with granddaughter Nikki and daughter Jan, and as she would have wanted, died peacefully at home, in her own bed. “There was only one Temma Pistrang in the entire world.”
The family is planning to have a Celebration of her Life in late June or early July. Please contact the family later for information regarding the gathering.
