of her 100th birthday. Her long life was filled with love for
her family, friends, and church. She was an active member
of Seattle First United Methodist Church for over 90 years. It
was a central part of her life, both spiritually, and socially; which brought
her many lifetime friends.

in 1924. A graduate of Cleveland H.S . she married husband Charles
during WWII, and started a family; settling in the Burien area.
After raising her two sons, she began a long career as an elementary
school secretary. She took pride in looking after "her kids".
When she retired, she and husband Charles enjoyed
RVing all over the western half of the US and Canada with friends
from church, and their RV club. She kept extensive journals of all
their travels, and in her later years, spent many hours "reliving"their travels.
She is preceded in death by husband of 56 years, Charles
A Nelson, and son Jon. She is survived by son Allan, as well as her nieces
and their children and grandchildren.
