Rose Evelyn Boysen passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 12 in Federal Way Washington. Born in Hill City, South Dakota on July 1, 1922 to Harry and Thelma Driver, she was a straight A student and often spoke of not being absent or tardy during the first eight grades. She graduated from high school at 16 and went on to complete two years of business college. In 1948, she married John Boysen and moved to Seattle Washington.
Rose was active in PTA and at St. Elizabeth’s Episcopal Church. She loved to bowl and jazzercise with the girls, but above all, she was dedicated to her family.
She is survived by her son, Harry (Blair), her daughter, Gloria (Brent), her granddaughter, Amanda and grandsons Kyle, Tyler, Cameron, Jeff, and Keaton.
The funeral service will begin at 12:30 on Friday, November 16, 2012 at Yarington Funeral Home in White Center. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Spokane Guild School.
