Bobbie was born in Twin Falls, Idaho.
Her family moved to Ketchikan, Alaska, where she spent her early childhood with her parents and two brothers. They later moved to Burien, Washington. She graduated from Evergreen High School. Later she continued her education and became a Certified Medical Assistant.
She married Robert "Bob" and they lived in the Central District for awhile, before purchasing the home where she spent her teens from her parents and settling back in Burien in 1980. The following year, Bob and Bobbie adopted their daughter, Leah.
Bobbie was proud of her career as a Medical Assistant, and was active in work and AMA and CMA organizations. At the beginning of the AIDS epidemic, she found herself working in the Infectious Disease Clinic on Capitol Hill, which became an integral part of the fight against AIDS/HIV, and against homophobia. She was a staunch advocate of LGBTQI+ rights.
Bobbie also had a great love of animals. In addition to the "menagerie" of pets at home, she supported many animal rights organizations.
She was proud of her political activism and was an active protester of the Vietnam War. Bobbie was a vocal supporter and advocate of many causes, including women's rights and abortion access, Veterans rights, environmentalism, fighting racism, and Death with Dignity.
She is survived by her loving husband Bob, and their daughter, as well as her brother Terry and many extended family members.
