Born January 18th, 1934 in Seattle, Washington, Pat married fellow Baliard High School classmate Dick Kerns in 1956. Pat and Dick settled in Kenmore, Washington in 1961 following the births of their two children. Pat's diverse career, beginning with her days at Texaco and continuing through her service with the Naval Department, culminated with 15 years as a staff secretary at the University of Washington Law School, from which she retired with distinction in 1999.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents Olga and Linus Leiren, her brother William Leiren, and her beloved daughter Lora Ellen Kerns. She is survived by Dick, her devoted husband of 55 years; her son Dan and daughter-in-law Marcee; her grandchildren Thomas, SusAnna, & James; her brother Bill's family; and her sisters Betty, Mary, & Linda, and their families.
