Norman James Barringer was born on June 7, 1942 to James Melroy and Marjorie Jane (Norton) Barringer in Seattle, Washington. He passed away on January 17, 2012 in Mountlake Terrace, Washington. He has been a lifelong resident of the area, most recently a resident of Edmonds, Washington. He established his professional career in the Marine Industry, travelling all over the world for subsea power cable installation projects.
Norman is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Richard Miles Barringer. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sally (Curtis) Barringer of Edmonds, Washington, who he married on September 8, 1961. He, also, leaves behind his son, John Christian Barringer of Lynnwood; two daughters, Paula Anne Barringer of Edmonds and Katherine Rose Barringer of Edmonds; granddaughter, Meara Rose Alley of Lynnwood; sister, Nancy Carolyn Mintz of Seattle; brother, Lorne Melvin Barringer of Seattle; and many loving extended friends and family.
Norm was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be greatly missed.
