Born in Seattle, WA in 1950, Mike was from a family of five. The eldest, having one brother, and one sister. He lost his father at a fairly young age. Michael graduated from Evergreen High School in 1968, and then joined the U.S. Navy. After sailing the world, he met his wife of 42 years in sunny California where he was stationed at one time.
After convincing Linda to move with him back home to Seattle (White Center), Washington; they soon started a family of their own. Having one girl, and one boy. He was employed by Kenworth Trucks for 33 years.
Although Mike enjoyed many things in his free time such as fishing, watching old western movies, reading books, collecting antique radios, shopping online, vacations to Whidbey Island, or Kauai Hawaii he had one passion that caught his heart; his Harley Davidson. His Harley hung a personalized license plate reading “Grumpy,” in which he took pride in, and owned up to the name.
He and Linda took many trips to Sturgis on the Harley in their younger years, and possess many portraits, and memories to always be cherished. On May 15th, 2018, Grumpy took his last ride into eternity, he was 68 years of age.
