She was born into the world on March 2nd, 1938, along with her twin brother Michael. Their parents Jules and Naomi Creagh had two other children, Joan and Don. Joan, upon seeing her younger sister and thinking her sweet and cute, nicknamed her Bunny after the bunnies from Walt Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, which had been released the year before. It stuck, and Lee even used it as her given name in her high school yearbooks and for her "hop to the polls" class campaign posters. She later changed the spelling to Bunni in college.
Bunni grew up learning the piano and riding horses on her family ranch along with her siblings. She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Fresno State College and went on to have a career in advertising, where she created original artwork and page layouts for newspaper, brochure, and magazine publications for large companies.
While on a vacation with a friend to Hawaii she met Stanford Wright. They got married on New Year’s Eve in Las Vegas, 1965, and went on to have five children. There was always creativity, music, laughter, and love amongst the Wright family, and Bunni was the glue that held her family together through thick and thin. Bunni enjoyed co-writing songs with Stan, creating hand-made decor for her children's parties, and working as a cake decorator and bouquet designer. Nothing made her happier than spending time with her family.
She was a woman of integrity, faith, strong character, and grace. The love and care she showed her children and extended family and friends is recalled fondly by all who knew her. The world was forever changed for the better by Bunni’s light, and that light will remain shining through the lives of her five children and all those whose lives she touched.
She is survived by her daughter Brecky Bihary, Brecky’s husband Dutch, and their daughters Arreah and Zayda, her son Ford Wright, his wife Jennifer, and their children Koa and Ava, Ava's husband Christian and their son Ace, her daughter Leesa Wright, her daughter Colleen "Maile" Sundquist, Maile’s husband Sam, and their son Kai, her son Corey Wright, Corey’s wife Kelsi, and their children Mitzi, Scarlett and Hunter, her daughter-in-love Jamie Magee, and her sister Joan Williams.
We will always remember her smiling eyes, gentle nature, fun-loving spirit, love for singing and dancing, strong faith in Jesus Christ, words of praise and encouragement, and love of art and painting. She taught us to love God and one another, to persevere, and to take joy in the little blessings of life. She kept her childlike wonder until the end, and that's what kept her young at heart. She was a true inspiration, and we will miss her terribly until we see her in glory. All our love and eternal aloha precious one. Thank you for being an amazing daughter, sister, friend, auntie, mother, grandma, and great-grandma. Bunni, your memory will be treasured and cherished forever.
